...numeral-based identifiers are so passé.
Pub Standards' slightly-more-hardcore little brother, Substandards will be taking place this coming Thursday, the 1st of February.
That is all.

As has been pointed out, this venue has already hosted a Substandards, so there's a good chance it might change. Watch this space...
Okay, since De Hems is such old hat, the candidates look like being:
The Porterhouse, Covent Garden: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/36/366/Porterhouse/
Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese: http://fancyapint.com/pubs/pub576.html (Sam Smith, so cheap; but out Fleet Street way)
Brew Wharf: http://www.brewwharf.com/ (sounds like Face Off only West Country)
Garlic & Shots: http://fancyapint.com/pubs/pub3248.html (probably no draught beer, though)
Okay, venue changed. The Porterhouse it is.
sounds cool, I can't make it :(
Wow, erm warning was very, erm, short.
I have a meeting at 6, then a gig at the spitz. Wonder if I can fit this in?
Will you be moving onto another place/finishing at a certain time, in case I'm very late.
Based on previous experience, I imagine we'll stay at the venue until closing time (although there's nothing stopping people with a thirst for a later night from finding a late licensed bar).
