Take it to the street on Sunday 7 June 2009

To celebrate the new Street Fighter IV videogame, The Great Playoff (TGP) in association with Kix Magazine are set to really sort the Guiles from the Abels.

The majestic Juno Bar is playing host on Sunday 7 June 2009 at 5:00pm to showcase simultaneous fighting competitions to establish who will take their place as TGP’s official Street Fighter IV champion and win the £100 cash prize.
Capcom’s Street Fighter IV comes over a decade after the last and the fourth edition is the official sequel to Street Fighter II. New characters, techniques and brand new fight scenes have been created to unleash the most exciting and challenging Street Fighter game to date.

In addition to the tournament itself, there will be live music throughout the event from DJ Kid Fury (Pro Evo Playoff) G-Range and performances from UK Hip Hop artists, First & Last, Defury, Young O, Grhymey and London based Chicago artist, Black Caz. In recognition of the games cool soundtrack, we have tracks featuring remixes from the official SF soundtrack.

On a 6ft projector screen we’re running countless competitive battles throughout on a PS3 console. We’re also showcasing the latest games to hit the stores from games creators!

Elizabeth Martins, Director of The Great Playoff said:

“This night sees old skool Hip Hop with a blend of Soul and Jazz combined with video gaming. Bringing a new concept to the forefront of UK night life, a fantastic new gaming image is emerging so…Get Plugged in!”
