Straits of Mare Island Rowing Association Whaleboats races. April 18, 2009

Teams from all over the Bay Area will be here racing. We will have a Youth Race(13-17) and a Masters Race 55 and over. The boats are Monomoy's used for lifesaving and whaling for most of the 20th century. They weigh 1 ton with 8 rowers,a coxswain and a bowhook. Come down and enjoy a race or two.
