You may be surprised to learn that the USS Intrepid served longer in the Vietnam War than in World War Two. From 1966 to 1969, Intrepid's airmen, supported by the ship's crew, flew over 15,000 missions through hostile skies over Vietnam. On this 90-minute tour, your guide will take you behind the museum's exhibit barriers and share famous and little-known stories of Intrepid, her brave airmen, her hard-working crew, and her spectacular aircraft. This tour is wheelchair accessible but does require long periods of walking and standing. The Intrepid Museum offers seating along the hangar and flight deck levels.
