DENVER, CO – Technophobes of the world unite – You have nothing to lose but your roaming charges: Here’s a bittersweet meditation on the price we pay for spending all that quality time with those new BFFs, Twitter, Kindle and Facebook.

Stories on Stage presents “New Realities” Saturday, January 12 at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. at Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center, 721 Santa Fe Drive in Denver. Single tickets are $25; student tickets are $15; tickets for groups of 10 or more are $20 per person and LoDough (scholarship) tickets are also available. For the fourth year, Lighthouse Writers Workshop and Stories on Stage continue their collaboration with the Page-to-Stage Contest. This year's winning story will be presented along with:

Robert Petkoff has appeared on Broadway in Anything Goes, Ragtime, Epic Proportions, Fiddler on the Roof and Spamalot. He appeared in the Denver Center Theatre Company's ten-hour epic cycle of the Trojan War, Tantalus. Petkoff's television appearances include The Chappelle Show, The Good Wife, Law and Order, Married…..with Children and Quantum Leap. He has recorded over 50 audio books and his awards include the Audie Nomination for Best Solo Narration/Male.

Steven Cole Hughes Denver Center credits include Pride and Prejudice, All My Sons, Measure for Measure, The Misanthrope, Scapin, Blue/Orange, Love’s Labour’s Lost, The Three Sisters, The Lonesome West, Hamlet and Tantalus. He has appeared in productions for Creede Repertory Theatre, Arvada Center, Curious Theatre Company, Theatre Aspen and many other fine regional theatres. Steven has made television appearances in: Easy Money, Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. As a playwright, Steven won the 2008 Denver Post Ovation Award for Best New Work (Billy Hell).

Allison Watrous has credits with The Denver Center Theatre Company as Co-Creator-Director of Cult Following, John Brown’s Body, (W)hole, A Christmas Carol. She has performed in Denver Center Attractions' Girls Only and The Secret Comedy of Women,Curious Theatre Company: Astronomical Sunset and Sis Tryst's Crimes of the Heart and American Notes. Regional credits: PCPA/Solvang Theatrefest, California Theatre Center, Hope Summer Repertory, Vital Theatre and elsewhere in New York, California and Colorado. Allison has been a teaching artist for 15 years and is currently an associate academy director at Denver Center Theatre Academy.
