MAKING MERRY

DENVER, – Stories on Stage presents “Making Merry” Saturday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m. at The Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder and Sunday, December 16 at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Denver at the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Single tickets are $25. Denver favorites Jamie Horton, GerRee Hinshaw and Erin Rollman bring warmth to the season with classic holiday stories and songs in Making Merry. Music is provided by award-winning composer/pianist Gary Grundei.

Jamie Horton returns to Denver once again to delight the Stories on Stage audience. A 23-year veteran of the Denver Center Theatre Company, Mr. Horton engaged Denver audiences as an actor in numerous shows including Orphans, The Dresser, Sylvia, Gross Indecency and Bernice/Butterfly; He directed DCTC's Inna Beginning and The Scarlet Letter and Curious Theatre Company'sHome by Dark and Fiction. His writing talents were utilized in A Rumor of Angels, NBC’s St. Elsewhere and Top of the World. Top of the World was part of the Toronto and Denver Film Festivals in 1993. Mr. Horton is currently an Associate Professor of Theatre at Dartmouth College.

A writer, actor and singer, GerRee Hinshaw was last seen by Stories on Stage audiences in Cuentame un Cuentito. She has appeared with Buntport Theater, Curious Theatre, The Bug Theatre Company, Denver Children’s Theater and The LIDA Project. Her work has earned both readers’ and critics’ awards in The Denver Post, The Rocky Mountain News and The Westword. GerRee is the host of Freak Train, a zany, open-stage show held every last Monday of the month–now in its thirteenth year.

Erin Rollman has spent nearly her entire professional life as a member of Buntport Theater Company. Working in a collaborative manner has meant that Erin has, at some point, done everything from performing, writing, and making costumes to grant writing. Her performances have garnered her several acting awards and, in addition to the stage at Buntport, she can often be seen performing at the Denver Art Museum and co-hosting the Colorado Theatre Guild's Henry Awards.

Celebrating their 12th Season, Stories on Stage has great actors bring stories to life by combining literature with theater.
