"The Mikveh Project," opening Sunday, Sept 9 at the Sabes JCC is more than a series of black and white photographs. The exhibit examines the many shades of meaning of an ancient and little understood ritual. Author Leah Lax will share personal stories behind the exhibit and explore how mikveh can be a tool for spiritual renewal at the renewal of the year. A reception will follow from 10:15 to 11:00, concluding with Selihot service from 11:00 to 12:00.
