50 Park Place
Pawtucket, Rhode Island

The first time Kate Katzberg sang in public was in 1973 - the night of her sister Joyce's gig at the Mouthpiece Coffeehouse in downtown Providence; back when candles stuck in Mateus Rose bottles was De rigueur. Bob Gulla of the Providence Phoenix describes Joyce's repertoire as a "witty melange of topical, traditional, historical and hysterical songs." Joyce was nominated "best female vocalist" by the Providence Phoenix in 2001 and the Rhode Island arts magazine "Motif" in 2005. The sisters are teaming up for this rare double bill concert and will be joined by Bob Asprinio and Otis Read. Thank you for helping to make this a fragrance free event.
