With his on-screen performance of 'The Way You Look Tonight' in the film 'Father of the Bride,' movie music pioneer and record producer Steve Tyrell unknowingly launched a successful singing career. He has since released five albums saluting The Great American Songbook - all on the Top 5 Billboard Jazz Charts - including his 2005 'Songs of Sinatra' set. Critics have described Tyrell as having a voice with earthy qualities like New Orleans mojo man Dr. John and soulster Billy Vera. His broad appeal lies in his ability to recast many of the Great American Standards with a tinge of soul appeal. Chris Botti's substantial trumpet abilities make him one of the brightest lights of the smooth jazz genre. An occasional singer, his vocal style recalls Chet Baker. He's also worked with Sting, Edie Brickell and Paul Simon, among others.
