Post-Show Allman Brothers Band Party

The music of the Steve Kimock Band defies simple categorization. Instead, it offers an uncompromising hybrid of original instrumental music that challenges the listener with innovative compositions and dazzling improvisations. Dynamic in tone, SKB's music ranges from tender melodies to heroic anthems.

SKB guitarist Steve Kimock's has dedicated his life to the mastery of his instruments and to the exploration of new paradigms of rhythm, tone, and melody. Considered by many to be one of the true masters of modern guitar, Steve Kimock consistently reinvents his art through hard work, imagination, and a dedication to the creation of a new musical vocabulary.

With Kimock on his mission are band mates Rodney Holmes (drums), Mitch Stein (guitar), and Arne Livingston (bass). The spectacular drumming and compositional collaborations of Grammy award winner Rodney Holmes are hugely influential in creating SKB's signature sound. His contributions enable SKB to explore a wide range of rhythmic expressions that leave listeners mesmerized. Rodney Holmes is one of today?s great drummers, recognized for his explosive power, his graceful touch, and his unparalleled ability to play multiple rhythms simultaneously. Guitarist Mitch Stein's rich musical heritage and imaginative styles provides the perfect foil for Kimock?s fat-toned phrases, while SKB?s newest addition, bassist Arne Livingston, contributes his own unique musical innovations that will surely help keep SKB evolving towards their shared vision of music without boundaries.

Each and every SKB live performance holds the promise of new and exciting variations of a growing catalog of original tunes. Like the double helix that is the foundation for life itself, each night the elements of SKB fuse together to create unique sensual soundscapes that reflect the vivid musical imagination of this power quartet.
