Longevity, consistency and stability have always been the norm when describing Stereo Deluxe. Bands come and go at a drop of a hat but these childhood friends have been playing music together since 1998. Jay, Matt, Ben and Luke spent their formative years honing their skills and developing their sound under various band names. During their journey they have played hundreds of house parties, youth centers and dive bars to literally anyone who would listen. From their humble beginnings as a young teen band that formed to play in a talent show to now having grown into seasoned musicians, Stereo Deluxe’s music has become an energized, raucous, and fully realized rock sound. Loaded with an arsenal of new material, rejuvenated, reinvigorated and reinvented are words that best describe a new and improved Stereo Deluxe.

Determined to make music to match their live performances Stereo Deluxe decided to go back to the basics. Holed up in drummer Matt Hogan’s basement, the quartet fine tuned the material that will become their much anticipated third release. Shortly after leaking the new song “Quarter Century Man”, it was added into rotation on Indianapolis modern rock alternative radio station, WRZX. Their new single, “Evil Twins” was mixed by music producer/mixer Paul Lani(Megadeth, Robbie Williams, Motley Crue, Shania Twain, Failure), and showcases the bands evolving songwriting and sound. Incorporating new elements like synthesizers and de-tuned piano, “Evil Twins” manages to maintain the bands signature pop sensibility while breaking into new musical territory. With an ever growing list of tour dates and plans for multiple releases in 2011, Stereo Deluxe is poised to take their music to the masses.
