Stephen Duffy and his new band That Man Fantastic will be performing a number of low key shows around the Bay Area to warm up for their tour in the spring of 2007.

First show is:
Saturday, August the 12th, at the Grand Lake Farmers Market (adjacent to the Grand Lake Theater) Lake Park Avenue, in Oakland.
2 sets. 10:30am and 12:15 pm

About the band:
Described as spooky pop for grown ups or "...like a cross between the Pet Shop Boys and Nick Drake", Duffy's new band features the talents of long time Bay Area Drummer Randall Mitros (Plan P), guitarist William Duke (of Bye Bye Blackbirds and Happy Regrets fame), Spooky New Orleans Guitarist Brother Jack Elder and recent addition to the band David Brooks on Bass.
Duffy sings and plays guitar.
The new album Pop Songs for Art Films, co -produced with William Duke is his first after the handsome poets dissolved in 2000.
Since then Duffy has been recording and producing local talent and has written music for theater and film.

Look out for the band to pop up at local markets and coffee shops around the Bay
