The 4th Annual Staten Island LGBT Pride Parade & Festival.
The PARADE begins at the St. George Municipal Parking Field - Steps from the SI Ferry Terminal.
Since the police department refused to give a permit to march thru downtown St. George it has been decided by the Staten Island Pride Planning Committee that the 2008 Staten Island Pride Parade follow the proposed route by proceeding (legally) UP THE SIDEWALK on the streets of St. George, past the new Staten Island LGBT Community Center at the corner of Victory Blvd. and Bay Street, as well as other government buildings and the businesses of Downtown Staten Island, and culminate with a weatherproof festival inside Cromwell Center.
The FESTIVAL will begin following the Parade at the Cromwell Recreation Center in Tompkinsville Pier 6 at Hannah St. (one block east of the new Staten Island LGBT Community Center located at the intersection of Bay St. & Victory Blvd.)
Accessible by local Bay Street Buses and the SIRT - Tompkinsville Station.
