StarChefs.com, the magazine for culinary insiders, has named its 2006 Los Angeles Rising Stars award recipients. These talented chefs will serve their signature dishes at the Rising Stars Revue, a gala tasting event at The Loews Santa Monica Hotel, Tuesday, May 16, 2006 from 7:30-9:30 pm. Honorees include: Ludovic Lefebvre of Bastide, David LeFevre of Water Grill, David Lentz of Hungry Cat, Jason Travi of La Terza, Thomas Boyce of Spago, Sean Hardy of The Belvedere at The Peninsula Beverly Hills, James Richardson of Nook, Lee Gross of M Cafe de Chaya, Mohammad Islam of Chateau Marmont, Pastry Chef Elizabeth Belkind of Grace, Pastry Chef Ron Mendoza of Sona, Pastry Chef Kristy Choo of Jin Patisserie, and Host Chef Gregg Wangard of Ocean & Vine at the Loews Santa Monica Hotel. With each chef's dish, guests will enjoy premium wine pairings selected by the Rising Star Sommelier Matt Strauss of Wilshire.
