Star Pieces
David Linley is the son of the eminent photographer Lord Snowdon and the late Princess Margaret.

This lecture is an all-encompassing celebration of furniture. Viscount Linley’s expertise in the domain of furniture design and craftsmanship has earned him international acclaim, and he has written several books and given many lectures on the subject. He is passionate about preserving the skills and traditions of fine cabinetmaking and encouraging the next generation to make beautiful things.

He will explore what furniture means to us, present highlights of twenty golden ages of furniture in world history, explain the relevance of design art today and how this has spawned a new golden age, and give advice on how to treat your own “star piece” in an interior.
