Identity theft and fraud are increasingly top concerns among individuals and small businesses with tens of thousands of California citizens victimized each year. San Francisco was the third highest ranked city in California last year based on the FTC number of reported cases of identity theft and fraud.
On Wednesday, November 15, from 11 am – 2pm, join us as the Staples Shred Across America Tour stops at the Staples store located at 655 Irwin Street in San Rafael. Everyone is invited to bring unwanted junk mail, old medical records and sensitive documents that you shouldn’t just throw away to the event to shred in an industrial shred truck - all an identity thief needs to steal your identity is a credit card preauthorization with an address. The event includes interactive product demonstrations, trivia contests and giveaways.
