The Symposium will champion the growing impact of sports in the business world and the role of skilled business professionals in the world of sports. It will serve as an opportunity for executives to share their thoughts on the current and future business landscape of the sports industry and will help create a collaborative relationship with sports management groups from schools across the country. In addition, it will provide an opportunity for networking with other high level sports executives, current MBA and law students and Stanford faculty.



This interdisciplinary Symposium will encompass the interests of the following Stanford Graduate School of Business clubs: Marketing; Retail; Sports Law Association; Women in Management; Black Business Student Association; Finance & Investment; and the Arts, Media & Entertainment Club. The event will include a number of panels debating current industry issues and emerging trends. These lively and intimate panel debates will touch on several interesting topics, including the future of sports media, player representation, emerging sports, competitive advantage in the front office and the process of purchasing a team. In addition, the conference will include keynote speeches from Bill Daly, Deputy Commissioner of the NHL and Jeff Moorad, Managing General Partner of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
