Stanford Latin Jazz Ensemble: Fall Concert November 7, 2008

Salsa and Latin Jazz at Stanford -- finally! The newly formed Stanford Latin Jazz Ensemble plays classic and contemporary works from both the Latin and North American songbook. The group plays music from the entire spectrum of Afro-Latin music and jazz, including son-montuno, rumba, timba, comparsa, songo, salsa, boleros, jazz and funk. The music is for both dancing and listening and is guaranteed to get you moving.

Personnel: Murray Low (director), David Rust (piano), Kyle Crager (Bass), Dan Kimmel (flute), Anthony Diamond (sax), Max Shulaker (trumpet), Diogenes Brito (vocals), Paul Constantine, Ryan Jackson, Carlos Cabrera, Kwami Coleman (percussion).
