Stand-Up Utah! March 16, 2013

 "Stand-Up UTAH!" is a night of 6 area comedians on one stage, presented in rapid-fire succession. The premise of the all local show is to discover the lAUgHTer in UTAH, as the show's tagline says.



Local comedian, Keith Barany (bare-a-knee), is producing the show through his company, Keith Barany Entertainment, based in Salt Lake City. He prides himself on discovering young talent. Keith says he put together this show for the Egyptian Theatre with the idea of promoting local comics and introducing patrons to comics they may not have seen yet in larger venues. He also felt



Barany himself was once a writer on Seinfeld. The NY Post once called him "The wittiest comedian working today".



Comedians in the evening's line-up:

*Cody Eden has been a finalist in Salt Lake City Weekly's Comedian of the Year several years running, and recently won the Last Comic Sandy stand-up comedy competition.



* Key Lewis is a high energy, improvisational, storytelling, multiple-personality nutcase! He was a Finalist in the 2010 Bay Area Black Comedy Competition, Semi-finalist in the 2009 San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and Winner of the 2008 Boston Comedy Festival.



*Christian Pieper: Although he lives in the shadow of BYU, his comedy is exceedingly dark and courageously so. He has a great eye for the psychological games we play on ourselves.



*Guy Seidel was a finalist in the Rocky Mountain Laugh Off comedy competition and has worked with some of the biggest names in comedy. His material focuses on music and life as a terminal bachelor.
