Stage Aurora Presents: OctoberFest October 22, 2009

Stage Aurora Theatrical Company presents OCTOBERFEST, a weeklong event kicking off with a red ribbon, GRAND OPENING GALA CEREMONY on October 21, 2009; “PEOPLE OF COLOR” IN THE CIVIL WAR read by Mary Fears October 22, 2009; Followed by the new hit gospel musical APOSTASY: 360 DEGREES October 23rd-November 1st (weekends only). We will finish this awesome week with a Fall Celebration for Kids October 31st.

Storyteller Mary Fears Presents: “PEOPLE OF COLOR” IN THE CIVIL WAR on October 22, 2009. Ms. Fears is a professional Storyteller/Civil War re-enactor/Genealogist and author of four books. Mary Fears specializes in telling stories based upon historic documents and is committed to telling African-American history stories for the education of all listeners. The program will have biographical stories of African-Americans in the Civil War, displays depicting plantation life, and how these slaves were skilled artisans and craftsman.
