St Mary's College Festival of Music March 15, 2013

For the 15th year, the Crosby college mounts another showcase of the musical talents of its pupils. Highlights include The Heavens are Telling from Haydn’s The Creation, Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, excerpts from Carmina Burana and music from the big screen.

The concert features a range of musical groups from the College and its Preparatory School The Mount including the award-winning Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Band, Stage Band, Baroque Consort, Show Choir, Chamber Choir and Mount Concert Choir as well as a number of gifted soloists and the choir of Carlton House Preparatory School. Compered by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Roger Phillips, the evening is conducted by Director of Music Andrew Byers assisted by Colin Johnston.
