AWOL Gallery presents Square Foot IV, a dynamic annual art exhibit, which showcases the work of hundreds of artists from the professional to novice. Square Foot has become one of the foremost community art events in Toronto. With each artist creating work in a 12x12 inch format, the show is hung in a grid forming an installation of overwhelming proportions.

This year’s show will feature over 450 artists from Canada, United States, Italy, The Netherlands as well as the United Kingdom. Each year the Square Foot Exhibition has grown in scale and reached a larger audience. Spawning numerous imitation shows in Toronto and throughout North America, it has been AWOL’S commitment to a non-juried community exhibition that has continually kept the show unique, fun, versatile and inviting.

Square Foot not only provides the professional artist a distinctive group show opportunity but is also a venue for the amateur art maker to exhibit their work. The Square Foot Exhibition has consistently been a launching point for many emerging artists who have had their work discovered by gallery owners and collectors alike.
