BATS Improv's Spring performance calendar offers up weekly improv formats within a different theme each month: March is "Murder!," April features directed improv styles, and May performances highlight classic theatre styles and playwrights.

March shows in the "Murder" theme include these popular and thrill-filled formats-Improvised Tarantino; Improvised Murder Mystery; Improvised Hitchcock; and Courtroom Drama.

Improvised Tarantino: What happens when you mix improv with films like Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Jackie Brown, and Reservoir Dogs? Some great f*** improv, bound to have desperate characters, criminal types, kung fu, 70s music, over-the-top violence, flashbacks and more. So come and join us, before we get medieval on your a****!!

Improvised Murder Mystery: Dear audience...you are cordially invited to witness a murder! Then, follow along as the detective questions suspects, reveals secrets and uncovers deadly motives. It's a whodunit where YOU get to choose the murder weapon and the scene of the crime. Come join this thrilling and completely improvised tale of wickedly fun murder.

Improvised Hitchcock: Spine-chilling suspense! Deadly games of cat and mouse! An innocent victim is chased across famous landmarks and exotic locations, pursued by the police, spies, and imposters! For two nights only, BATS presents two thrilling, improvised tales of danger and romance inspired by the Master of Suspense!

Courtroom Drama: The defense attorney slept with the victim, the D.A. is the defendant's father, and the star witness has a crush on the judge. These and probably many more iterations could be the twists and turns that take place during the Trial of the Century, where relationships can really be murder!
