Spent: Reception for New Work by Jeff Sweat July 8, 2006

Spent is a one night only showing of a set of paintings by former Boston artist Jeff Sweat. It is the inaugural event of the sQuareOne Art space (second floor of 49 Melcher Street, Fort Point, Boston).

For Spent, Sweat layers solvent transfer, lithography, silkscreen, graffiti, pencil burnishing, and oil painting techniques on canvas and paper. Sweat's proir work includes paintings for Puma’s 2004 fashion launch and for a Transcontinental Records music video. He has exhibited in London, New York, and Tokyo with upcoming shows in Boston and Orlando.
