We welcome you to kick off the new season with a tasting of premium red wines from the Southern Hemisphere. Statistics show that when considering wine for a special occasion, more often than not, France, Germany or California comes to mind before Argentina, New Zealand or Chile. After tonight's tasting, you will see how proud you can be to serve a southern hemisphere wine! Tonight in this special tasting, we showcase the diverse brilliance of South World wine. This event is at the Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club, where we hold our yearly Summer Solstice.

Wineries like Rust en Vrede, Torbreck and Concha y Toro should roll off your tongue with ease. Come try some benchmark wines from benchmark wineries in the southern hemisphere. Find out what makes a premium wine premium and see how the styles vary between countries. Most bottles are in the $30-$40 range, but a few are even more. Try some wines that you may not normally have an opportunity to try. Don't hesitate because this tasting will sell out fast.

Our speaker is wine educator, industry professional and our Cellar Master, Paul Watkin. Paul brings nearly two decades of experience in the wine/hospitality trade.
