In January 2003, 150 diverse South Asians came together in San Francisco to discuss issues like domestic violence, art and activism, people's movements in South Asia, labor rights, fighting hate crimes, queer visibility, caste and communal violence, organizing in the South Bay, and anti-war civil disobedience strategies.

Join us at our second annual SAPC conference on May 23, 2004, as we keep working to build a strong, vibrant, South Asian progressive community.

SAPC 2004 organizers:
Alliance of South Asians Taking Action, American Muslim Voice, Association for India's Development (Bay Area), Association of South Asian Political Activists, Coalition Against Communalism, Ekta, Friends of South Asia, Maitri, Narika, South Asian Development Alternatives Network, South Asian Sisters, Trikone, and other volunteers

The SAPC conference will be:
* a place to learn about our diverse progressive community
* a forum to network with other people and organizations
* open to all discussion topics
* only $10 (nobody turned away for lack of funds)
