Join us in celebrating our African penguins with a traditional South African Braai (BBQ) in our beautiful outdoor Ocean Planet Pavilion. Enjoy exceptional South African beers, wines and delicious authentic food prepared by our award-winning Ocean Blue Catering. The endangered African penguin population has declined more than 60 percent since 2001 and faces extinction in the wild. In partnership with our South African partner, SANCCOB, Mystic Aquarium strives to protect the species through research, education and conservation efforts in Mystic and South Africa.
