SOUTH AFRICA TOURS AND SPLENDOR on February 28, 2008 by speaker and tour guide Lorill Fochaey, Group Specialist, Metro Travel. Lorill has spent the last 40 years in the Travel Industry. She was a Flight Attendant with Air Canada for 25 years based in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Lorill retired from flying 16 years ago however, did not leave the industry. She worked with British Airways in Sales Support, held the District Sales Manager position with Encore Cruises, Western Canada representing 12 Cruise Lines and most recently the Regional Manager position with Discover the World Marketing, Western Canada representing International Airlines and Hotels. While representing South African Airways, Lorill had the opportunity to take groups to South Africa and fell in love with the country. She has been on 30 Safari’s which she says is a ‘life changing experience’! Lorill does her groups as a hobby working with an established travel agency in Vancouver. Not only does she offer South Africa but other Exotic destinations such as Vietnam, Bali, India and Egypt. She does love her cruises and offers River Cruises (her favorite style) to Europe such as; South of France, Germany and her ‘Xmas Market Cruise’ from Budapest to Prague which departs this Nov. For 2008, Lorill will offer tours to South Africa & Vietnam. All Tours are 4/5* star level.
