SoundLife London: Thursday June 4th - Talk and Presentation 6pm at WRF, 35 St Martin's Street WC2.

Soundlife London is a unique piece of temporary public art, created especially for Leicester Square. The work is a 'soundscape' composed by musician and sound artist Martyn Ware (founder member of Heaven 17 and the Human League).

Some of the audio clips which make up Soundlife London were collected through an outreach and education programme called Sounds of the City consisting of workshops with eight Westminster community groups. Sounds captured include snatches of conversation, Westminster Cathedral bells, noise from local markets, the Thames, transport as well as sporting and cultural activities. Woven together alongside archive recordings and musical performance, the sounds create a mesmerising invisible, but hyper-real, sound experience.

Martyn Ware will talk and answer questions about the SoundLife project from 6pm on the 1st Floor at WRF.
