Here is a little about our guests:

SOULWAX

Led by brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, Soulwax is a left-of-centre rock band hailing from Ghent, Belgium. Though the Dewaele Brothers have released several major albums under this moniker, including Leave The Story Untold (1996), Much Against Everyone's Advice (1999) and Any Minute Now (2004), the two are perhaps best known for their influential contributions to the bastard pop genre under the names Flying Dewaele Brothers and 2 Many DJ's, the latter of which was used to release their landmark record "As Heard On Radio - Soulwax Pt. 2."

Besides their album Soulwax have produced a number of official and unofficial remixes for the likes of Daft Punk ('Robot Rock'), Felix Da Housecat ('Rocketride'), Ladytron ('Seventeen'), Kylie Minogue ('Can't Get You Out Of My Head'), LCD Soundsystem '(Daft Punk Is Playing At My House'), Gorillas ('Dare'), Playgroup ('Make It Happen'), DJ Shadow ('Six Days') and Sugababes ('Round Round') amongst others. Their album Any Minute Now (PIAS, 2004) spawned three singles in "E Talking", "NY Excuse" and the title track.

The album Nite Versions (2005) is a collection of remixes of tracks from the album Any Minute Now, and besides touring Soulwax are currently working on producing Tiga's debut album back home in Ghent. In summer 2006, they completed a Nite Version remix of The Gossip's "Standing in the Way of Control", as well as their "Ravelight Dub" and "Ravelight Vocal Mix" of Robbie Williams' "Lovelight". The summer 2006 tour was filmed by director Saam Farahmand, and resulted in a Radio Soulwax documentary which will debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2007. Soulwax have also produced a remix of Klaxons' "Gravity's Rainbow", set to be released later in 2007, and a remix of "Ice Cream" by New Young Pony Club to be released in May.

2 MANY DJS

2 Many DJs are masters in blending the finest products of music history together into a catchy, hilarious and -above all- intriguing groove exploration. From politically incorrect prog-rock to funky r&b, from trendy hip-trop to banging German techno, if it gets a booty going, 2 Many Djs have it in their record collection. Blending beautiful tunes is far from new for the David and Stephen Dewaele. Back in the dark days of 1999, the Soulwax brothers started a DJ-show on Belgian national radio, called ‘Hang The DJ’, where they did exactly that. Years before bootlegging reached the trendy pages of The Face, they were already making their own mixes for inclusion on the show. After having wooed Belgian and Dutch crowds for a few years with these eclectic sets, they went on to impress the most cynical part of the world, the London scene. With sparkling sets on London’s independent radio station Xfm and national institution BBC Radio 1, they went on to do appearances at the renowned Trash nights in London and Arthur Baker’s Sunday Sessions in The Elbow Room. As 2 Many DJ’s, they makes you laugh, yes indeed, but also cover the left, right, top and bottom of groovy pop, proving that ‘genre’ has never been such a naff word.
