Soul Sanctuary: Images of the African American Worship Experience February 5, 2008

This exhibition captures the essence and rhythms of the black church. Over the course of ten years, photographer Jason Miccolo Johnson traversed the country and took more than 15,000 black and white images of which 75 are included in the exhibition. Witness spirit-filled moments, expressed in the faces and body language of the faithful during the worship service, and observe heartfelt Christian fellowship following the benediction.
