Mathew Street
Liverpool, England L2 6RE

As part of Liverpool's year of performance the Liverpool Comedy Trust has specially commissioned an exhibition of Liverpool comedy writers and performers from celebrated portrait photographer Andy Hollingworth.

His list of sitters reads like a Who's Who of British comedy with artists like Peter Kay, Jo Brand, Ricky Gervais, Ken Dodd, Eddie Izzard, Jack Dee, Victoria Wood, Matt Lucas, Lenny Henry, Johnny Vegas, Lucy Davies, Jimmy Carr, Dylan Moran, Dara O'Briain, Barry Cryer, June Whitfield, Martin Freeman, Jasper Carrott, Mackenzie Crook, Tommy Tiernan and Rik Mayall all inviting Andy to photograph them.

Andy has already photographed many of the most well-loved and infamous characters from the Liverpool comedy scene: Paul O'Grady, Jimmy Tarbuck, Carla Lane, Johnny Vegas, Craig Charles, Ricky Tomlinson, Roger McGough, John Bishop, Chris Cairns and many others.

This exhibition is a chance to see the sheer number of comedy performers that Liverpool has given to the nation and the results are staggering. There really must be 'Something in the Water'...

Something in the Water will be running at View Two Gallery, Mathew St, 13 - 23 July. Opening hours for this free event are 12pm - 6pm every day of the Festival.
