Solo Spotlights: Exploring the Language of Orchestration June 15, 2010

Solo Spotlights is a special collaboration between Nina Beilina, world-renowned violinist, Robert Sherman, host and narrator, noted composer and pianist Jakov Jakoulov, and the musicians of Bachanalia. The program explores "the language of orchestration" as elaboration of the growing possibilities and complexities of musical ideation. Program: Bach's Cello Suite No. 1, a new orchestration of Schubert's Winterreise, Amram's Theme & Variations on Red River Valley, and the Tango Ballet by Piazzola.
