By popular demand, PRSA Boston revisits and updates social media so that you can be ready for what 2008 demands. What social media technologies and services deliver the results PR professionals need to target key audiences? What’s in your toolbox, and what should you add when? What do you need to know to excel in the rapid, evolving world of social media?

On January 10th, a panel of social media experts and PR professionals will disclose the tricks, techniques and pitfalls around the most popular emerging social media technologies. Special emphasis will be placed on practical tools and real examples. Attendees will learn why, when and how to use:

* RSS
* social networks
* social bookmarking
* tagging
* podcasts, audio and video
* social media press release

Both deep-dive and high-level breakout sessions will follow the panel discussion, giving you more opportunities to learn at different and desired paces.

The program will be moderated by C.C. Chapman, co-founder and principal of The Advance Guard, a new company focused on using social media and emerging technology to create radical marketing programs. C.C. will be joined by:

* Mike Prosceno, Vice President, Communications, SAP
* Lois Kelly, Partner, Foghound Communication
* Laura Fitton, Principal, Pistachio Consulting

This event is co-hosted by The Public Relations Society of America Boston Chapter and the Social Media Club Boston. Dinner and networking are at 6 p.m. with the program launching at 7 p.m. Breakouts run from 8:15-9p.m. Don’t miss this chance to get a solid jump on 2008. Hope to see you there!
