In the off season, we engage in water sports, biking, hiking, camping among other outdoor activities.

Conditional membership: Membership to this singles dating group is free, however, we just have two simple rules:

(1) you must have a recent photo on your facebook page (no more than than 9 months old)

AND

(2) you must write a short self-intro upon joining to share one or more of the following tidbits:

Your interests, favorite ski resorts, what are you passionate about, fan of, live concerts/music you like, your alma mater (a school you graduated from), which countries have you traveled to, what fun stuff is on your to do list for this upcoming year, what consumes most of your time, live sporting events you enjoy, upcoming events you'd like to go to, your role model is, what can you say about your family and close friends, how does your family and friends describe you, what is important to you in this rapidly changing world(social, economic, environmental, moral), what is on your bucket list, what do you like about your life/not like, what would you like to learn or improve on, your favorite food/eatery, your favorite restaurants/hole in the wall place, where would you take a first date, what would you consider romantic, what is love to you, where is your next vacation to, who's important in your life, when things go bad, who can you rely on to be by your side, your favorite moment is, would you consider yourself altruistic, would you be able to initiate a conversation with someone you find attractive, how important is physical attraction to you, what is the most important traits/characteristics you would like in a significant other, what would you like to do with your free time, where can we find you on a typical weekend? etc.

The self-intro requirement helps members connect with people who share similar interests & values. Your self-intro can be short and simple or as elaborate as you want; a brief intro is a good starting point to initiate a dialog.

For example, here's a simple intro: "Lisa's intro: Hi, I live in SF and would love to meet a snowboarder to plan Tahoe ski trips. Let's meet at the next group mixer or group outing to get acquainted in a fun and casual setting and see if we hit it off. I'm sort of traditional in a way that I prefer in-person conversations rather than online through emails.", or here's a little bit more elaborate intro:

"Randy's intro: I guess I'm the first to post an introduction on here. Woohoo! Lucky Me. I am a divorced father of two teenagers. We all ski and snowboard, in fact it is our number one favorite family activity. Like my kids, I've been skiing since before I was potty trained. I live on the Peninsula, but spend as much time as possible in Tahoe during the winter. I'm there nearly every weekend plus most holidays. We usually stay at a cabin at Alpine Meadows, but have rented places all over north Tahoe before. In the spring you'll find me doing backcountry skiing trips and hikes all over the Sierra, down toward Yosemite and Mammoth. I enjoy meeting other local folks who love to ski. If some romance happened to come from that, I'd be surprised and excited. But in reality I just love having other people to share the passion with. Feel free to hit me up for rideshares or as a ski or snowboard partner."
