"Snapshot Chronicles: Inventing the American Photo Album" A deeply ambitious exhibit curated by Portlander Stephanie Snyder and Bay Area photography collector Barbara Levine that celebrates in rich detail the history of American vernacular photo albums from 1898 to 1935. All the work is taken from Levine's collection of more than 300 albums. The show comes with a catalog with essay contributions by Snyder, Levine, Terry Toedtemeier, the photography curator at the Portland Art Museum, and Matthew Stadler of Clear Cut Press.
