Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, inducted into the Rock !n Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, became one of the best and most prolific songwriting teams of the 50's and 60's They wrote such spirited and enduring songs as 'Hound Dog,' 'Love Potion No. 9,' 'On Broadway' and 'Stand By Me.' 'Smokey Joe's Cafe,' features nearly 40 of the greatest songs ever recorded making it not just an evening of great pop music - but compelling musical theatre. The New York production played 2,036 performances, making 'Smokey Joe's Cafe' the longest running musical revue in Broadway history.
