Sloperfest March 2, 2007

This unique event combines a bouldering competition put on by Adam Henry at one of the Southeast's premiere boulderfields with a Bouldering slide show and a day of music. This year's venue will include acoustic sounds from local artists, bluegrass, and classic rock'n'roll. Proceeds will be donated to the SCC and Chandler Mountain Volunteer Fire & Rescue.

Friday night, March 2nd 8p CST - Slide show by Lisa Rands & Wills Young
Join Lisa Rands at 8PM local time for a climbing journey around the globe. With recent trips to South Africa, England and Fontainebleau behind her, onlookers are sure to be in for a real treat.

As the first American to rank 1st in an international bouldering World Cup, Lisa attained the rank of #1 in the world in November 2002 and has traveled the world pulling off first female ascents of proud lines everywhere. She has also dominated outdoor comps like the Phoenix BoulderBlast and the Triple Crown.

Saturday, March 3rd 9am CST - Bouldering Competition
Categories include Mens & Womens Open, Advanced, Intermediate and Beginner, as well as Kids and Ancient divisions. Competitors receive a free event t-shirt & swag bag filled with goodies from the sponsors. All attendees (competitors, spectators & volunteers) will be entered to win one of the many door prizes that will be given away during the event. Registration on Friday night 5 pm til 10pm and Saturday morning 7:30am til 9am. Competition begins at 9:00am. $100 Cash prizes for select projects (like "The Seam") sent during the comp in front of a judge.

A number of vendors will be at Horse Pens 40 on Saturday offering shoe demos and showing off their latest and greatest goods. Red Bull is coming out to get competitors started off right.

Ticket Prices:
Spectators: $20 (includes Saturday and Sunday with camping on Saturday night)
Camping Friday night: $5 additional for spectators
Competitors: $45 (includes Friday-Sunday with camping on Friday and Saturday nights)
