Ann Arbor artists C. Malcolm Powers and his wife, Marion S. Powers, will hold a joint exhibition of their work in the RAC’s DTE Annex May 4-20. Sketches in Bronze and Photo Scenes will include photographs by Marion and sculpture by Malcolm.

A sculptor working in cast bronze, Malcolm’s images deal with “creature-hood, alienation, resurrection, joy, praise and gratitude to God.” He received his Master of Fine Arts degree in design with a sculpture major from the University of Michigan in 1961. A participant in many group and solo exhibitions, his most recent commission was a Celtic Cross for First Presbyterian Church in Ann Arbor. His works may be seen online at http://www.cmalcolmpowers.com.
Marion began taking photographs as a teen living in New Jersey, and continues to be the "family photographer." She will display photos taken in New Jersey, Ann Arbor, and during various trips. Marion also serves as Malcolm's official photographer, taking all the images of his sculptures for portfolios, shows, and websites.

An opening reception will be held Friday, May 4, 4:00-8:00 PM. The exhibit will be open Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM, and Sunday, 1:30-4:00 PM.
