8TH ANNUAL SISTERS OF FIRE AWARDS CEREMONY

The Women of Color Resource Center (WCRC) will honor the
contributions of 5 remarkable women, including nationally acclaimed editor of ColorLines magazine, TRAM NGUYEN; director of Environmental Human Rights Advocates, MONIQUE HARDEN; immigration rights activist and president of Chicago's Pueblo Sin Fronteras, EMMA LOZANO; DEBORAH VAUGHAN, choreographer and founder of Dimensions Dance Theater; and world renowned feminist playwright and poet, CHERRIE MORAGA, at the 8th Annual Sisters of Fire Awards on Sunday, October 22 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at 300 Frank Ogawa Plaza in Oakland City Center.

Program includes speeches, a silent auction and performances by Dimensions Dance Theater's Rites of Passage, Oaktown Jazz and Youth Speaks. Sliding scale entrance fee of $35-$75 includes brunch.
