Singles Rollerblading, Lessons and Picnic June 30, 2007

Come skate with us at Whisman Park, where you can meet other fun people who like to skate or are learning how to skate! The paved, mostly flat trails at the park have only a few small hills and are great for beginning and intermediate skaters. Informal skating lessons will be provided to beginning skaters. We will skate together at a relaxed pace with periodic breaks for about 2 hours. Holding each other's hands to make skating easier is highly encouraged.

All skill levels and types of outdoor skates are welcome. Wearing full protective gear such as a helmet, wrist pads, knee pads, and elbow pads is highly recommended. Skate at your own risk. Also, don't forget to bring sunscreen.

DIRECTIONS:
From Highway 101 southbound - Shoreline exit and make a right turn - left on Middlefield - left on Easy Street

From Highway 101 northbound - shoreline exit then make a left using highway overpass - left on Middlefield - left on Easy Street

From Highway 85 (Cupertino) exit Highway 237 - take Middlefield exit - Middlefield turn left and go under 237 - make a right on Easy Street

The park is very visible on the left side of Easy Street.

MEETING PLACE:
Picnic Table in the Park (we will tie balloons on the picnic table).
Your hosts will be in that parking lot wearing inline skating gear.

Ammenities: BBQ facilities, basketball court, soccer/football field, passive areas, picnic area, softball field, tennis courts, outdoor volleyball court, trail access, and restrooms.

Walking: The Stevens Creek Trail is a peaceful and beautiful location to enjoy a walk.

Other activities: Tennis courts, a large field and a playground are all available to enjoy physical activities.
