FALU and her band are gaining visibility for their exquisite synthesis of ancient Indian classical traditions and contemporary American songwriting. Vocalist Falu is one of the foremost disciples of the legendary Ustad Sultan Khan, and has collaborated closely with Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project, Karsh Kale (as Falguni Shah), Born Into Brothels Ensemble (from the 2004 Oscar-winning documentary) and Carnegie Hall, where her debut Family Concert in May, 2006 at Zankel was sold out.

“glows on stage until you can’t help but love her” (AM New York)
“has the rare ability to stop audiences silent in their tracks” (Global Rhythm)
