Sing Into Spring - Oakland Bay Area Community Chorus March 15, 2009

Oakland Bay Area Community Chorus concert: "Sing Into Spring" will feature A Tribute to President Barack Obama "Reach Out and Touch" with Jazz accopaniment. The Chorus will perform music of varied genre, including: Spirituals, Gospel and Traditional Choral Styles.

The mission of OBACC is "...To preserve the traditional African American Spirituals by ensuring that this important music form continues to be performed with authenticity during a regular concert season."

William (Bill) Bell (The Jazz Professor), Director, is a multifaceted musician, well known in the Bay Area and nationally. He is a noted choral director, composer, recording artist and musician extraordinaire.

Loni Williams, Assistant director, is a Gospel Specialist, who is known thruoghout the Bay Area and Europe for her unique contribution to Gospel music as a singer, pianist and leader of workshops.
