Remis Auditorium, 465 Huntington Avenue
Boston, Massachusetts 02115

A virtuoso on both the violin and the oud, a Middle Eastern lute-like instrument, Simon Shaheen infuses his music with elements from traditional Arabic music as well as from jazz and classical styles in the West. A well-studied musician, Shaheen completed his graduate programs in NYC and continued on to promote Arabic music in the West with the group he created, the Near Eastern Music Ensemble. Performing as a trio, sounds from across the world are sure to be heard. A contribution from the Center for Arabic Culture made this concert possible.

Presented as part of the Boston Palestine Film Festival.
