Silver Screens Arts Festival May 31, 2010

Ryerson University’s The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education is proud to present the third annual Silver Screens Arts Festival. Produced in partnership with LIFE Institute, this year’s Festival will centre on the theme of ‘Eyes of the World’. The Festival offers adults 50+ a chance to express and showcase their creativity and talents, through various art forms including film, photography, workshops, guest speakers, and theatre. Over the past two years, the Festival has worked towards confronting the image of aging through all aspects of society. This week-long event will take place between May 31, 2010 – June 6, 2010 and will be held at Ryerson University.

The Festival will kick off with a keynote address by Emmy Award winning broadcaster, journalist, television, and film producer, Ann Medina. Medina’s media experience has allowed her to travel the world to meet world leaders, host political leadership debates, and produce award winning television programs that focus on current world issues.

Offering something for everyone, the Festival will feature topics including: Technology and its ability to enrich the lives of older adults, how to create a digital travel journal, how to grow older in today’s culture and time, fabulous fashions for 50+, writing family stories to pass on from generation to generation, what is happening in politics today, and much more.
