Shanghai-born Qiu Xiaolong is a poet, writer, translator and the creator of the Inspector Chen mystery series, which is set in Shanghai. His latest book is Case of Two Cities.

Chen Danyan is a writer of fiction, non-fiction and children’s literature, who is well known for her Shanghai stories. She is working on an in-depth book about the Bund.
