Playing at the Paramount, this 1927 silent movie has the following description:

Greta Garbo and John Gilbert star in this "upbeat" version of the Tolstoy classic, Anna Karenina. The film differs sharply with the novel, however, as it has a healthy dose of comedy, sensuality, and roguish charm. "Gilbert and Garbo in Love" trumpeted the MGM movie ads in 1927 as the studio attempted to make the most of the sizzling off-screen love affair between their hottest male star and his captivating consort (they had filmed the torrid Flesh and the Devil one year before when their affair began.)
