One mic - one stage - one chance - that's AMATEUR NIGHT AT THE APOLLO. We've had so much fun with it in the past (and launched a New York Apollo winner), we just had to bring it back. From jazz to be - bop. from disco to hip - hop, the original AMATEUR NIGHT AT THE APOLLO launched the careers of superstars like Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Michael Jackson and new phemons like Lauryn Hill, comedian Mo'Nique, Fat Joe and Jaheim. In a fun filled raucous evening, several ambitious, some really brave and a few seriously deluded amateur performers compete against one another to gain the approval of the ruthless Apollo (oops, Proctor's) audiences and a chance to become a 21st Century Apollo legend.
