Shoeshine Blue is a gumbo of folk, blues, lo-fi, and books. What began as Michael Apinyakul writing and playing all instruments, has now expanded to Shawn Mclain on violin, vocals, and drums, and William Joersz on upright bass. This is the dark, folky blues of a modern world, which is perhaps what the modern world needs. John Vecchiarelli is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist musician from Portland. Portland singer/songwriter Justin Power opens this show. Justin (ex-Champion Birdwatchers) writes heartfelt and soulful music.
