Sharon Socol To Share Unique Perspective On Fashion Culture During Lecture At Fashion Institute Of Technology February 28, 2013

Sharon Socol, acclaimed photographer, will host an intimate event to celebrate the launch of her debut photo book Plus One: An Outsider’s Photographic Journey Into the World of Fashion at the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Katie Murphy Amphitheatre on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m. The event will feature a lecture and Q&A session, concluding with a book signing.

Socol is an intuitive, spontaneous photographer—and a fashion outsider. She attended hundreds of fashion events as her husband’s “plus one” during the eight years that he was CEO of Barneys New York. Her book, Plus One, is Socol’s photographic record of that unique experience.

This event is part of The Museum at FIT's Fashion Culture series and is free of charge; however, guests are required to register, as space is limited. FIT will also have copies of Plus One available for purchase.
